The love of business came early for Lisa.

Whether it was because her father was self-employed and owned his own machine shop or that it was just something in her DNA, Lisa McClure Byrnes knew she was drawn to economics and finance. And the industry didn’t let her down. After graduating with her degree and going on to study at Wharton, Lisa fell in love with the financial world, specifically the area of Investment Banking.

“I’ve always liked the fast pace, the continuous learning, the interesting people and the constant change,” she explains, “but what I really love is the cadence of the deal—from start to finish.” Every day is about delivering strong results for clients—providing the best strategic advice, managing the risks involved and providing expert execution every step of the way. 

Now a Managing Director and Technology M&A specialist with Canaccord Genuity’s Capital Markets office in Boston, having been involved in wide range of high-profile and complex transactions, Lisa is a busy woman. And that’s not even considering she’s also a mother of 3 very active children. Some sage life advice from Lisa: “If you do the right thing, you can never go wrong.” And when facing challenges: “Power through. It will get better.” From a true entrepreneur, we’d expect nothing less.
