She gets things done with high efficiency, a positive outlook and a relentless work ethic.

Born and bred in the stunning northern beaches of Sydney, Australia, this ocean-loving, animal rescuer didn't set out to have a career in the finance industry, but after landing a job in the industry, she fell in love with it and has been working a number of roles for 20+ years across the broking industry.

"It has been an amazing journey to work in an industry which continually gives me the opportunity to grow and develop my skillset," she says, "it's hard work, yes, but with great benefits." Today, she is Director of ECM Transaction Management, where she oversees the execution of all deals that originate from CG Australia and collaborates with offshore offices on cross-border transactions. Melissa loves every part of what she does and the colleagues with whom she works.

"To me, it's really important to do what is right for the business and its people," says Melissa, "CG is like family to me. I work with incredibly talented people who are hardworking, driven, focused and supportive. I am so proud to be a part of the Canaccord Genuity journey."

Melissa admits life has presented some challenges, but she is a confident problem-solver; always looking at the bigger picture both personally and professionally. "The key is to step outside the problem – see it in its entirety – and know that no matter what, there is a way through it."
