On May 5 2010, our client Industries et Finances Partenaires ("IFP", French private equity firm focusing on build-up strategies) announced the disposal of Caterine Restauration to Compass Group PLC.

Caterine Restauration is a contract catering company that ranks among the top 10 players in the French market. Initially based in the West of France, the Company has gradually expanded its coverage through selected acquisitions and now serves clients across more than half of the geography of France. Caterine Restauration derives most of its revenues from central kitchens (cook-chill facilities), with the remainder coming from on-site restaurants. The Company serves 13m meals per year and employs more than 500 people.

After a 6 month-long process involving both financial sponsors and trade buyers, Canaccord Genuity'successfully secured a binding offer from Compass Group.
