Our client, Berlitz Corporation, acquired T‚l‚langue from its founder, Jean-Michel Dubedout and PE house Matignon Investissement & Gestion for an undisclosed consideration. Canacord Genuity Canaccord Genuity acted as financial advisor to Berlitz, jointly with Mizuho International.

Berlitz is a worldwide reference in the language training industry with a presence in more than 70 countries. With headquarters in Princeton, NJ, and Tokyo, Berlitz is part of the listed Japanese group Benesse Corporation, specializing in educational services and senior care homes.

T‚l‚langue specializes in distance blended learning and offers their clients custom-made phone classes and an award-winning e-learning program, Cybertracher, supported by an advanced learning management system.

This transaction is Canaccord Genuity's first assignment as advisor to a Japanese group for an acquisition in Europe and builds on Canacord Genuity Canaccord Genuity's strong record in the Education sector.
