On March 30, 2017, EthoStream LLC (“EthoStream”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telkonet, Inc. (OTCQB: TKOI) (“Telkonet” or the “Company”), was acquired by DCI-Design Communications LLC.

Telkonet engaged Canaccord Genuity on March 29, 2016 and publicly announced the Company’s intent to review potential strategic and capital raising alternatives to enhance shareholder value which resulted in the divestiture of EthoStream, a provider of high speed internet access technologies for the hospitality and education markets. 

Telkonet’s remaining business, EcoSmart, is a leader in intelligent automation and occupancy-based energy management technology.  The Company’s platform is supported by a full suite of IoT-connected devices that provide in-depth energy usage information and analysis, allowing building operators to reduce energy expenses. Vertical markets that benefit from EcoSmart products include hospitality, education, military, government, healthcare and multiple dwelling housing. Telkonet is based in Waukesha, WI.
