Before joining us in 2005, Gunnar was a Managing Director at CIBC World Markets in the North American Mining Group. His mining industry experience includes underground gold and base metal operations, mine development contracting and open-pit mining operations. He has been involved in a wide variety of mining finance, as well as over 60 completed M&A advisory assignments since 1996. These include in 2016 Tahoe Resources’ acquisition of Lake Shore Gold, Reservoir Minerals acquisition of a 100% interest in the Timok Project and Reservoir’s subsequent acquisition by Nevsun Resources, and Mines Management acquisition by Hecla Mining.. These include in 2014He also worked on the joint acquisition of Osisko Gold Inc. for Yamana Gold, the acquisition by B2Gold of Papillon Resources and the acquisition by Agnico Eagle of Cayden Resources in 2014. Gunnar holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
