CG has a team of over 60 research professionals in the United States, and that's complemented by a team of over 100 globally in some of our other geographies. And in the U.S., we're really tightly focused on four key sectors health care technology, consumer and sustainability. And this really tight focus allows us to be experts in the areas that we're covering.
It allows us to, you know, develop deep knowledge and deep relationships in the sector. That's really important to us in our health care vertical. We have a team covering the biotechnology sector where we look across therapeutic areas like oncology, central nervous system disorders, autoimmune disorders, also as part of our health care team. We have a medical technology and diagnostics group which focuses on the different medical devices that can help patients achieve better lives.
We also have a fantastic technology team where we're focused on software, internet, digital media, gaming, the Internet of Things, financial technology. This is a huge portion of the economy, and CG has been a leader in this area for decades. Our sustainability team is focused on how can we develop a more sustainable planet, How can we build a power system that is more eco friendly?
What is going to happen with the electrification of vehicles? How can we build a more sustainable eco friendly food supply chain? Our consumer team has really experienced analysts that have been covering their sectors for a long time, and we've asked them to really tighten their focus on this modern, digitally native consumer so we can understand the really important growth areas of the consumer economy.
I look across our team of analysts and we just have so many bright people. We have a team of biotech analysts and associates that is stacked with PhDs and MDs. We have people in our sustainability franchise that have worked in industry for decades and are now applying that knowledge to their research. We have people on our tech team that have been covering their sectors for 25 years.
The depth of knowledge that this team has really continues to impress me every day. We focus intensely on a few key areas and we take that focus and we pair it with a really entrepreneurial culture and we put those two things together. We feel very confident that our analysts and their teams, which are well-resourced and well supported, can go out into the marketplace and uncover the insights that they need in order to help our clients achieve the best results that they can.
