Please join us in welcoming Eric (Tao) Zou as Managing Director, Head of Investment & Corporate Banking - China.

Eric will be responsible for building up our new China presence across all industries with a strong focus on Metals and Mining where he will partner closely with CG’s leading global Metals & Mining teams, which span the UK, Canada, Latin America, and Australia.

Eric brings close to 15 years of capital raising and advisory experience to his role. He was most recently Chief Representative of BMO Capital Markets’ Beijing Investment Banking office, and was a member of the BMO CM Metals & Mining group in Toronto from 2007 to 2009, and in China from 2009. Eric is a well-connected, experienced banker with deep industry relationships, having worked with many notable mining, infrastructure and renewable energy companies in China. He has been involved in numerous M&A transactions involving Chinese-based entities across many sectors.

Canaccord Genuity’s China banking coverage will be led by Eric from our Beijing office, and is consistent with our growth strategy of identifying new business initiatives and markets that leverage our global franchise.
