Welcome Thierry Nguyen, Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking – Quebec

We are pleased to announce that Thierry Nguyen will be joining Canaccord Genuity as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking – Quebec.

Thierry joins us from RBC Capital Markets where he spent 15 years, most recently as an MD in Global Investment Banking. His coverage spanned broadly across multiple sectors including the Consumer, TMT, Industrials, and Sustainability verticals. His client base includes large-cap corporations, emerging high growth private companies, as well as private equity and venture capital firms. Thierry is an experienced investment banker with broad public and private transaction experience across M&A, corporate financings and strategic advisory.

Based out of the Montreal office, Thierry will work closely with Olivier Setlakwe, in his role as Head of Capital Markets – Quebec, and Pierre Fleurent, in his role as Senior Advisor, Investment Banking, to support Quebec  corporates and institutions, and leverage his global expertise across our key focus verticals. Thierry is active with philanthropic organizations including Centraide of Greater Montreal. He is a McGill alumni (BCom 2007 – with Great Distinction) and sits on the Board of the College international Marie de France as co-President of the Finance Committee.
