Joel Bayley's Story

From the heart of the Midlands, Joel Bayley was raised on a steady diet of cricket and football.

Stoke-on-Trent may be a long way from Wood Street, but the things Joel learned in his formative years, namely honesty and hard work, made the road to the City of London a little smoother.

Now an Institutional Equity Sales Associate, Joel’s been part of our UK Canaccord Genuity family for almost three years. "I came in with no pre-conceptions, just excited to get started. I quickly realised I had a lot to learn." he says with a smile.

Be that as it may, Joel got down to business immediately and has thrived in the CG environment, giving credit to a team spirit and entrepreneurial ambience that welcomes ingenuity and then gets behind it. “If I have an idea and I can justify it,” he explains, “I know I will be supported.” That’s the kind of environment he loves and believes is an incredible place to learn and grow.

Speaking of the future, Joel is strongly optimistic about where the firm is heading. “I see a very bright road ahead for Canaccord Genuity. We are becoming a truly global company and will achieve more and more success on a global scale. That’s exciting.”
