Vivarte - January 2007

PAI Partners announced the disposal of Vivarte to Charterhouse for an undisclosed amount on the 8th of March 2007. Canaccord Genuity acted as exclusive financial advisor to Vivarte.

Taken private by PAI Partners in 2004, Vivarte (formerly Groupe Andr‚) is France's largest shoes and clothing retailer. The Group operates approximately 2,600 stores under 15 different banners (La Halle aux Chaussures, La Halle aux Vˆtements, Andr‚, Caroll, Kookai, Minelli, etc.). For the year ending 31 August 2006, Vivarte generated revenues of £2,268m, with an EBITDA of £364m.

Canaccord Genuity worked with Vivarte and its management to prepare the company's business plan, select the most suitable private equity sponsors, assist in discussions with the shareholders, and negotiate the management package.
