Debt advisor to Advent International on its acquisition of DFS
Consumer and Retail Debt Advisory & Restructuring Financial Sponsors

On 22 April 2010, Canaccord Genuity's client, Advent International announced its acquisition of Ds. Canaccord Genuity provided debt advice on this transaction helping secure a bridge and continues to be engaged to secure a refinancing of this structure.

DFS, based in Doncaster, currently operates from 74 sofa stores across the UK and employs more than 2,600 people. Richard Baker, former CEO of Alliance Boots, will assume the role of chairman, taking over from the founder and current chairman, Lord Kirkham.
