Unifeeder A/S, the Denmark based container feeder and operator of freight transportation services, has agreed to acquire Feederlink Shipping & Trading b.v, the Netherland based container shipping company, from Irish Continental Group Plc, the listed Ireland based maritime transport and shipping company, for a cash consideration of EUR 29m on a debt free/cash free basis.

The acquisition is in line with Unifeeder's strategy of improving its Northern European network and product offering to customers. The transaction will allow Unifeeder to achieve operational synergies and consolidate its position in the market. Post-acquisition, the management team will continue to lead the company.
