CG Results Healthcare advises PSS on acquisition by McKesson

We are delighted to announce that CG Results Healthcare acted as exclusive financial advisor to Prescribing Support Services (“PSS”), a leading UK medicines optimisation provider, on its acquisition by McKesson UK, a fully integrated healthcare service provider.

This transaction reinforces our expertise in driving value for innovative companies within the pharma and healthcare services space.

Established in 2000, PSS is one of the leading NHS medicines optimisation providers in the UK, supporting CCGs and GP practices across the UK in delivering medicines optimisation services. This transaction will mean the company will be able to provide a fully managed pharmacist led service model, which supports practices with a cost-effective solution to address practice workload associated with managing medicines and related activity.

In addition, PSS established Optimed Healthcare in 2016, a specialist division to work in partnership with the NHS and the commercial sector to reduce variation, improve quality and deliver efficiency savings. Optimed will complement the business by broadening the scope of services offered so that the NHS delivers the gold standard in healthcare.
