Working within our Advisory Investment Banking team this exciting role will provide the opportunity to support the Head of Technology & Healthcare, UK & Europe and other Managing Directors within our Investment Banking team by effectively managing their schedules and taking on broader office management responsibilities in a busy environment, where performance, team-work and culture are all highly valued.
Summary/Overview
The objective of this role is to contribute to the smooth running of the business and to support Managing Directors in their roles by facilitating client and other meetings, arranging travel and providing general administrative support in a professional, warm and timely manner.
The Role
- Extensive diary management – booking client meetings/ lunches/conference calls etc., organising meetings.
- Inbox management and prioritisation of urgent actions.
- Organisation of travel arrangements across UK, Europe and USA
- Coordinating with clients and involvement on deals.
- Process NDA’s and documents, liaising with internal compliance team.
- Updating CRM via DealCloud.
- Expense management for Managing Directors.
- Attend and take minutes for a range of meetings.
- Arrange internal company events in partnership with other Personal Assistants.
- Providing holiday/absence cover across other Personal Assistants when required.
- Adhering to all relevant operational procedures and company policies and taking an active part in ensuring these are followed e.g. compliance procedures; filing procedures and contributing to the maintenance of the Company's databases.

Summary/Overview
Working within the Technology sector team, you will have the opportunity to provide financial advisory services on a wide range of strategic transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and re-structuring), capital-raising projects and debt financing mandates to the relevant institutions.
Working directly for a Vice President or Director on a project by project basis to support Managing Directors in the Investment Banking Team in the origination and execution of corporate advisory transactions. This role will also provide support and guidance to Analyst and Interns.
The Role
- Undertaking valuations of businesses using a variety of methodologies, including relative valuation techniques, leverage buyout models and discounted cash flow analyses, and presenting and discussing the results with the project team, clients and prospective clients;
- Undertaking detailed financial modelling and analysis including valuation and assessing the financial impact of transactions;
- Analysing industry and sector trends, commercial analysis of individual businesses and case studies of transactions;
- Drafting and reviewing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, strategic review papers, valuation papers and admission / prospectus documents;
- Collating comments from the project team, clients and other advisers on materials produced and working with the team to produce revised materials; and
- Involved in transaction process management, supporting Vice Presidents to ensure projects run smoothly, anticipating and addressing potential issues/complexities in a timely manner; expected to attend most meetings, and to work directly with the client’s Finance Director and other senior management.
Our Ideal Candidate
- At least three years M&A experience in a reputable Investment Bank/Boutique, ideally in a Technology sector team.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent with a minimum 2:1 grade.
- Completion of CISI Level 3 Certification in Corporate Finance or a qualification as a Chartered
- Accountant would be advantageous.
- Highly numerate.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbally

The Role
- Day to day management of project execution, with guidance from the Director and Managing Director as appropriate.
- Proactive management of day-to-day client relationships and key client contact on all execution matters. Management of client meetings.
- Define complex modelling tasks clearly and accurately and take responsibility for output.
- Prioritise, delegate and supervise the completion of tasks ensuring compliance with relevant rules, policies, law and regulation.
- Management of Analysts and Associates within deal team. Assisting in Identifying skills gaps within team and work constructively to develop these in cooperation with HR.
- Provide thoughtful leadership to streamline processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Providing ongoing guidance and spot corrections to improve team efficiency.
- Contribution of ideas for winning new clients or mandates.
