My key responsibility is providing leadership to the Portfolio Management and Stockbroking teams in Guernsey. I advise, and actively manage portfolios, for a diverse range of individuals, trustees, family offices, professional intermediaries, captive insurance, fund and Government entities on strategies to achieve their investment goals. My aim is to improve our client’s knowledge, understanding and access to financial investments in order to ultimately help investors grow their wealth with confidence.
At a more strategic level, I am also a member of the firm's International Executive Committee and Divisional Risk Committee. In this role I contribute to the development of our international business strategy and operational resilience.
My investment career started with a bang; the week of the Asian Crisis in July 1997. It has been intriguing and eventful ever since; an endless journey of learning. None more so than during my 8 years as an Associate Director/Fund Manager at HSBC Global Asset Management. Crucially, this involved dealing with ultra-high net worth Asian families and a Sovereign Wealth Fund as clients through the boom/bust cycle of 'the noughties’.

A bit about me:
Work hard, play hard! I have always been a socially and physically active person. Outside of work hours, if I am not with my family on our boat or gardening (weirdly, I'm a Monty Don fan), I am most likely found open water sea swimming with friends in the glorious emerald waters off Guernsey, running on our beautiful cliffs or playing golf or padle tennis. I do love a challenge, be it a ski touring holiday or SwimRun events in the Alps.
What does can-do mean to me:
You could call it an ethos, an approach, or an ideology. We simply call it can-do.
To be committed, determined and bring a positive attitude to get things done. I would like to think this positivity carries through to my enabling and mentoring of my team to achieve their own, and our business’s goals and ambitions.
