Divisional Director (London)
I began my investment career at NatWest in 1994, moving to Collins Stewart in 2001 when it acquired NatWest Stockbrokers Private Client business. I moved to the company when it acquired Collins Stewart in 2012. I have consistently managed direct equity-based and multi-manager portfolios for private individuals, trusts, pensions, charities and institutional clients throughout this time and have had various additional responsibilities in growing the wider business. Having previously chaired the UK Portfolio Construction Committee, I was also a member of the Asset Allocation Committee for 10 years to the end of 2017 and previously sat on the UK Equity Selection Committee and the Group Portfolio Construction Committee.
I am a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
Location: London
A bit about me:
I have always been a keen sportsman, and proud Jerseyman. Since school, I’ve competed in various international athletics competitions for Jersey and more recently for Great Britain in age-graded World and European Championships, along with coaching shot, discus, hammer and javelin at local athletics clubs. In the little spare time that I have, I am trying to teach myself Portuguese – badly.
What does can-do mean to me:
You could call it an ethos, an approach, or an ideology. We simply call it can-do.
If you want something done, ask a busy person. For me, Can-do is about making the time, not just for work, but more importantly for building lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and friends. Work hard to ensure that your relationships both in and out of the workplace put a smile on your face. I can do that.
